I have been interested in gardening from an early age helping my grandfather on his vegetable plots. At 15 I worked weekends at a garden centre near Hayle, in Cornwall and started to learn more about plants.

In the early 80’s I attended Cannington College in Somerset and attained the BTec National diploma in amenity horticulture.

I have since, spent the majority of my working life in horticulture, either doing garden maintenance or landscaping. For 12 years I worked in South London before moving to South Devon in 1995.

More recently, I have been working as the garden and grounds manager at a local property maintenance company but have decided that the priority in my work should be the quality of service and realised that I can only do this by working for myself.

I have a keen interest in all aspects of gardening and even spend some of my spare time tending to my allotment.

I have developed a good all round interest and knowledge of plants, including native wildflowers and their relationship with wildlife.

My experience means that my time working in a garden can be as efficient as possible.

My aim is to build up a small client base of gardens that will benefit from my experience.

I aim not only to maintain a garden but to always be looking to improve it and bring the best out of it.

I realise that every garden is different and every client will have different expectations and requirements from their garden and I aim to fulfil these requirements.
